ATTN: MIT Early Action

Hey guys, I submitted my MIT App for Early Action last week, and on my myMit Tracking, it shows that all parts of my application have been processed EXCEPT for my Secondary School Report and Transcript. Does anyone else have the same problem? All my recommenders and my counselor said that they sent in my material already. I'm just curious as to whether the Secondary School Report and Transcript is an exception. Thanks.

It says that for mine too, and I had everything submitted around a month ago. Maybe it just takes longer to process?

Does it say “Not Processed” ONLY for your Secondary School Report and Transcript or for multiple parts of your application?

Guys. There is still a LOT of mail. The admissions office hasn’t posted that they’re done sorting it yet. Your stuff is probably in an envelope somewhere, waiting to be entered into the system.

Seriously, do not freak out until they post that all of the mail has been sorted and accounted for and they still don’t have your stuff.

No worries, my evaluations and school report are the same way. Mine have all been sent, but as has been said many times it takes awhile to process all the mail. Someone mentioned that the “All Mail Sorted” blog post came about 3 weeks after the application deadline last year.

Same thing here, everything processed except for Secondary School Report…

It says that for me to. One of my evaluations which was sent days after my secondary school report has already been processed.

I don’t think it’s a problem if this is happening to everyone.

It just might be that the transcript takes longer to process (perhaps, just as a guess, they have to match things up with the reported coursework section? or maybe they want to process all school reports together?).

Don’t worry about it until they say that they have processed all the mail, and it still says that the secondary school report/transcript has not been processed.

my secondary report is processed…

It isn’t a universal problem. Just wait and you’ll see it come :)

Yeah…the Secondary School Report has been the only thing that has not been processed for me either.

Glad to know I’m not the only one :)

Secondary School Report and the Testing Requirements are both not processed for me. I really wouldn’t worry about it.

I’m still waiting for Evaluation B to be processed. I really hope it’s a problem on MIT’s end and not my teacher’s fault…

^Either way, it won’t matter – if it’s late November and the rec still hasn’t been processed, you’ll be able to ask your teacher to send another copy. No problem.

“^Either way, it won’t matter – if it’s late November and the rec still hasn’t been processed, you’ll be able to ask your teacher to send another copy. No problem.”

Oh that’s nice to know.

Also my Eval B and Testing Requirements checked out today. It just comes in spurts I guess.

My secondary school report is processed, and that makes everything. Anyone else?

The folks in our Freshman Records Office (Diane, Noah, Sofia, and a fleet of others!) are working to wrap up data entry by the middle of next week. We separate letters according to type (math/sci, humanities, GC) and then enter them into our system individually. That’s why you might have your A eval show up one day, and then your Secondary School Report show up the next day.

If possible, please hold off on contacting us to locate missing parts of your application until around Nov 21-23. There will be plenty of time after that to fax in your missing documents, folks.

Matt had a blog up on this today, which has more info. Check it out!

Lidusha: Mine just processed, too. Still missing Eval A, but got everything else.

Yeah my Eval A is missing too.

And now my Eval A just checked out. So that’s solid. I was talking to a current MIT 2013er and he was commenting on how insane (as in how much work they do) the office of records/admissions is.

MIT does a great job overall. My stuff was all process within a week of mailing them :).
Even my supplementary material is done! I am all set :D

@Djokovic: How do you know when supplementary material is processed? There’s no space for it on the tracking page…
