Attn OOS kids, if your parents are illegal, you get the in-state rate!

^^^^Why can't my kid get in-state tuition in NC? At least I pay taxes to some state. Also, I've said it before, this is a benefit to the parents of the kid, (just ask your parents) because I am expected to foot the bill for my adult childs education till he/she is 22 (see FAFSA). Therefore the anchor baby status of the kid is of little concern. Don't forget, this illegals kid only has to attend public school for 2 years to get the benefit, I'm guessing most of them aren't born in the USA.

I say promise them the moon, and when they show up to collect, kick them and their parents back to Mexico. Good Riddance!

wow
you seem pretty bitter about this
Ur kid can always go to schools in NC and get in-state tuition if that matters. The fact that they come here illegally doesn't mean they don't pay tax. Some people work, obtain papers and live just like everyone else. Say some legal immigrant families coming here when their kids are at age 17, they start college. They never paid tax here, but they lived here. Just like the illegal immigrant ones. Do you want to exclude them from in-state tuition also?
