ATTN: UCDAdmissions again(last time i swear)

I am sorry, but the whole time I was posting, I was trying to get an answer from a real UC counselor. The truth is, I was admitted to UCSD, not UCD. Here is my real question: Would I normally be rescinded from UCD for missing one unit(89 out of 90) on the provisional contract?

Some points:
-I was admitted with a 2.57 gpa(3% of the students admitted had a gpa that was this low)
-I had to change two of my lower division major classes to two non-related classes(swapped two english classes for economic classes, but it is required in the UCSD ge’s to take economics).
-I am taking summer school at another UC, which will bring my total to 97 units after summer school.

My provisional contract at UCSD states that I need 90 units:

Complete at least 60 semester or 90 quarter UC transferable units by the end of Spring term 2007 with
an overall grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.50.
• Remain in good academic standing in your last regular term with at least a 2.00 GPA.

Unfortunately, I was not able to get all the classes that I wanted for Spring 07, so I had to select a 4 unit class instead of a 5 unit class. Now I only have 89 units, and I am afraid of getting rescinded. Based on your experiences or the stories that you have heard, will I get rescinded?

Wouldn't it be better to call UCSD admissions?

I have called them, but have only received vague answers. Seeing as this is a message board, I might get a more "comfortable" answer from an admissions officer. UCD Admissions is usually on top of things and is a nice person...he/she just doesn't have PMs enabled =)

This will depend on the campus, student and situation. I can understand why UCSD is giving vague answers. Until we have all the information it is difficult to make a decision; especially when you are so close to 90 units. Typically for UC Davis we would not be able to uphold admissions for a student that does not meet the Conditions of Admissions or does not meet the minimum requirement of 90 transferable quarter units. However, the final decision will depend on the student and situation. I don’t have PMs enabled because I was having a problem with my full message not being received. 

Thanks for the reply. I also have this information to add:

My friend last year from UCR did this things and still had his admission to UCSD upheld:

he changed all his Spring classes without notifying admissions

he got in with 89 units.
I'd like to add that UCSD also rescinded quite a few students last year because they over enrolled.

I talked to an admissions counselor and he said "he wouldn't worry too much about it, but no promises".

I am taking two classes at UCLA for Summer 07, which will bring my total to 97 units before Fall 07 begins.

Does that sound like I have a decent shot?

I would listen to a UCSD adviser over me any day. Unless, of course, you were enrolling or applying to Davis.

Alright, that sounds a little reassuring at least =) Thanks a lot for all the help you've given me. It's really nice to have a UC counselor around to give realistic responses. Appreciate it.
