I don’t know what they did in classes with these professors.
To Joblue: I was using James Cagney’s classic smashing of a grapefruit into the face of a woman as humor but I understand why you or others might not have taken it that way. The fact that I still can recall what happened 46 years ago reveals how annoying the person was.
@NJSue thank you for steering the conversation away from attractive women are a problem to others reactions/assumptions can be a problem.
I’ve seen that movie, and Cagney’s character was a nasty piece of work. She didn’t deserve to have the grapefruit be ground into her face. She was being “uppity” and that was his response. Loathsome behavior, and not at all funny, despite it being depicted as a comedic scene.
Wow, what a tragedy!!! Looks like not all professors aren’t flawless robots who don’t have any hint of personal bias at all!!! This clearly means we need to all go into cosmetics for the sake of doing well in school. Also, the fact that it only holds true for females shows an unacceptable sexism!!! (I’m not sure which direction though)
But actually, what’s the point of this thread?
