Regardless, the “trick” does not work. It’s an urban legend. So don’t waste your time. Correlation does not imply causation. Move the discussion forward please.

Uh, I feel like it does in fact work, given that we were able to make an AU ID, and it allowed us to enroll in housing and said congratulations, but we can move on.
I don’t think we should be sending any hate toward @positiveshake as they are here to help applicants even though they don’t need to be. They made a good point about how this could be morally ambiguous, but for those concerned, I wouldn’t worry about being rescinded for using the method.

I sent an email to the AU admissions address just asking if the results date was confirmed. Here’s what they told me:
We will be releasing decisions this week and an email will be sent to you letting you know when to log in and view your decision.

What day this week are we thinking? This academic year, ED came out on a Thursday and ED2 came out on a Friday
On Reddit it says March 17th (unconfirmed)…not sure though

yeah someone on here a few days ago said that an AO said wednesday the 17th
But the portal will be under maintenance also the 18th??
im not sure but its gotta be 17th or 18th bc why else would the portal be down yk

With some people having access to create an account, it really lowers my expectations. I’m sorry if it agitates some people since this “trick” is deemed “invalid”. But you need to put yourself in the shoes of a HS senior awaiting a decision like this.

I wasn’t able to create an account either. AU is my top school so I hope the trick isn’t definitive. I have above average stats and good ECs and the like. Really hoping for some good news Wednesday but we’ll see

My daughter just received an email that decisions are coming on Wednesday, March 17. Yay! Starting at 3pm ET, emails will come letting us know that the decision is posted. Good luck everyone!
