Au rd 2022

I need my mail to come, the mail man yesterday said it was such a disaster but hopefully it will come today

UGH, I just want to know! I want my decision to arrive in an organic/spontaneous nature, so I opted out of the informed delivery service lol. But as of now, nothing from FL (if you guys are expecting letters in CA today, I’ll be hella salty if I come home to an empty mailbox tonight).

Norcal people, when is that scheduled to arrive

All I want is a thicc letter and a juicy financial aid package!!

Upstate NY, nothing today :frowning: hoping it comes soon!!

I have a snow day and I’m literally sitting in the window waiting for the mail to come @-)

There is some ongoing PM discussion where people are suggesting that Waitlists are being used aggressively at certain schools this year with very low RD acceptance then drawing heavily from WL.

Last years data at AU from collegedata(dot)com says zero were accepted off the AU wait list. Does anyone know if that is typical or unusual for AU?

We know AU waitlists their applicants primarily for yield protection. I dont think many of these applicants ever have the opportunity to enroll as freshman

(Long Island, NY) Just found out I got waitlisted, I have a 4.0 GPA, 1180 SAT, and an extensive amount of extracurriculars. Does anyone know my chances of getting in?

@ashceeya Nassau or Suffolk? omg omg now I’m nervous

@ashceeya Hey did you get a big envelope or just a regular sized mail?

BoroDad - I hope that doesn’t happen with AU this year. Does anyone know if AU.was over enrolled this current year (class of 2021)? That’s what happened at Northeastern. As a result, they accepted much fewer kids this year and put many high stat kids on the wait list.

Ok so i got the thing on Informed delivery but then I checked the mail and didn’t get anything. ugh. my mom did say that if its coming from DC and shipped Monday then tomorrow would be the day

@datcatti You said ‘i got the thing on informed delivery’ as in did you see the picture of the envelope on informed delivery USPS?

no one from my high school has ever applied to AU, so I don’t really know what my chances are. I have a 33 act and a 3.8 gpa… what are my chances??

@snr2018 I think your chances are pretty high, but take into account that it’s not just about academic

Also, I am confused because the ACT range is 26-30 but the acceptance rate is 25%. Most places with that low of an acceptance rate have a much higher ACT score range.

@student12322 Not a picture, but I got this message: “A mailpiece for which we don’t currently have an image is included in today’s mail.”

Mine came with a full financial aid and merit package
