Au rd 2022

My friend: Accepted - Public health scholars
1170 Sat, 24 ACT, no interview, some extracurriculars, and some medical experience. Also midwestern MD near Gaithersburg. She got a big fat envelope

Accepted!

Accepted! 21 ACT 3.9 GPA involved, captain of my cheer team, full time job, and also still suprised I got in bc i never wrote the essay for American…

Waitlisted with a 36 ACT, 4.5 W GPA, strong extracurriculars and internships

ugh nothing in the mail for me today…cannot wait another day it better come tomorrow

anyone in CT get anything?

Wow!!! I am shocked at all the highly qualified applicants that are getting waitlisted or rejected.

Accepted! 3.67 UW GPA and 3.76 W. 28 ACT score. Strong extracurricular and internships. Also had an interview. No scholarship money though. Did anyone who got accepted get any money that wasn’t aid?

PA- accepted into the School of Communication. 1260 SAT, 4.0 GPA. Only a few extracurriculars, but they require a lot of dedication, and I volunteer on a regular basis. I visited the campus, but I didn’t do any interviews or correspondence. My essays and AP courses/scores were probably the strongest points of my application; my stats in general aren’t particularly outstanding, but I’m a writer by nature, so I think I really made up for them with my essays. (Edit: I also had really strong recommendations from two English teachers.)

I know being waitlisted sucks, but it probably has a lot to do with their early decision acceptance rate (85% I heard?), so remember that they’ve likely already hit the halfway mark of the number of students they can accept by the time they’ve gotten to regular decision applicants. It’s not a reflection on you, just that there are pretty limited spots left by the time they get to the RD pool.

Good luck to everyone who hasn’t heard back yet!

Nothing here in MI today :frowning:

31 on the ACT, 4.33 gpa with 13 aps, legacy, great extracurriculars (yearbook editor, Hillary campaign fellow…) waitlisted. Good thing I got into Michigan. Congrats to all accepted.

@not2disappear How much scholarship money did you get with those honors?

Any news from the CA folks?

@thewait123 20,000 a year!

NC - Just got an acceptance to American and the PPL scholars program (didn’t think I was gonna get into PPL but I’m happy I did)!!!
Intended Major: Political Science (I want to switch it to CLEG)
GPA (estimate): unweighted: 3.6 weighted: 4.1
SAT: 1370
ACT: 31
Essays: I believe my essays were strong. In my common app essay, I spoke about how I found my passion for debate and how it allowed me to grow as a person.
Extracurriculars: Lots of them, including Envirothon and debate
Summer activities: Plenty of them, including a week-long leadership program at the EPA
Demonstrated Interest: I spoke in person with my admissions representative, visited the school, and sent my admissions representative an email.

@not2disappear That is awesome. Do you mind sharing some stats? Did you interview?

I am sorry but maybe a waitlist. . .how do you sign up for the post office
thing?

@thewait123 I interviewed, visited, and did an overnight. I had a 33 ACT and a 93.5/100 unweighted average. I was also a lead high school coordinator for a local political campaign, have registered several hundred voters, and work closely with local democratic groups. I was accepted into SPA.

Got accepted! Good luck to anyone who was rejected / waitlisted. You can do this!

Also I couldn’t log in to the portal even though I was accepted so don’t worry guys.
