Au rd 2022

The poral loophole isnt for prospective student portals right? Its about trying to create a newly admitted student portal?

@shafthalf that’s right

Correct. It’s only for newly admitted students. I tried to make one and it didn’t work:(

I hate to say it, but all of the mail goes out at the same time. Acceptances, waiting list, and rejections all get sent in the same bulk mailing. Otherwise those rejected would be waiting around and calling the school wondering why they hadn’t heard. Easiest for them to notify everyone at the same time.

Not trying to disappoint folks, but any large envelopes we’ve received have not shown up on Informed Delivery. In fact, every acceptance package DD has received has never been included in our Informed Delivery. She received one today (not AU) and it was not on our Informed Delivery dashboard.

Hi yall. is anyone applying as a Transfer? Do transfer decisions come out with RD class of 2022? Thanks!

@lolodavis Was she accepted?

@keeks2018 – yes she was but not a school she’s interested in attending… she’s anxiously waiting to hear from AU…

Portal says something as above - decisions under review.

My S17 is very pumped to hear from AU, but decisions just seem so random this year. Everything was more predictable for my S19 two years ago.

Good luck to all.

@StressedTeen2018 Was it a letter from AU?

I wish it was a notification in the portal because with this noreaster who knows when letters will arrive in the mail

If they know already I wish they would just tell us in the portal :frowning:

US postal service informed delivery says nothing coming today from AU. This is getting old

the thing with the informed delivery is that it only notifies you of things that are the standard letter size. i assume admissions notifications, whether good or bad, will come in a larger package than the standard letter size, meaning it will probably not show up.

@maddieportnoy18 Interesting. Thanks for bringing this up. Though the informed delivery does have a separate indicator for letters and packages.

Anyone know if large letters are or are not ‘packages’ per USPS?

@maddieportnoy18 – Thanks for sharing. I tried to share this yesterday, but it wasn’t as well put.

@BoroDad – so far no large envelopes have shown up on our Informed Delivery dashboard (as a letter or package)… Everything has been a complete surprise. In fact, yesterday DD received her financial aid info from a college in like a 5x7 envelope and that wasn’t included in our Informed Delivery dashboard… Based on the Twitter posting, the AU envelopes are like 8.5x10.5…

Based on what I’ve read on here and other threads, informed delivery isn’t super reliable for college mail. Someone on a different college’s thread said senders (aka the colleges) can decide whether they want mail to show up in informed delivery, so if they don’t want us to see it early, they can block it. Idk if that’s true, but that’s what I’ve heard. Also, mail of all sizes shows up at my house when it wasn’t on informed delivery, so it could just be an imperfect system.

I don’t think the informed delivery thing works… I get emails from them every day, but they have never shown a package/letter from a college - and I’ve received some. So if you don’t see anything from DC, don’t freak out!

I have had informed delivery since October and have never seen a college packet come up in the informed delivery. Only normal sized envelopes with financial aid info
