Any change in status for anyone that applied by 9/15? There is no status indication on my DS but all requirements have green checks. Does not say ready for review or anything. Just call If you need to make any changes. Is this what everyone else’s application status shows?

No change of status for my son, either. Still green check marks. His application was in on 09/14 and SAT scores reached them a couple days later.

MTmama19,

Does the application status have the major listed? My son’s just says call if needed and has a link to change major. I can’t remember if it listed his major when he first applied.

no but DD was invited to War Eagle Days today - is that something everyone is invited too?

Has you daughter applied yet?

Hey, my son just checked his email and got an invite to War Eagle Days, too. :slightly_smiling_face: It’s invite only, so I don’t think all prospective students get this invite.

My son also got the invitation for War Eagle Day and sees only green check marks but no actual status announcement on the portal. It has been blank there the entire time he had had access to the portal, about a month at least. I think admissions announcements begin to come out beginning in the middle of October. We did a self tour of Auburn during COVID, but not many students were actively on campus and it was quiet so he couldn’t get the true vibe of the campus. We probably need to visit again so he can make a good decision if he is offered admission. Good luck everyone!

Please update as some decisions may be released next week? We are OoS and d applied on 8/1. Does Auburn send acceptance packet thru mail or is notification strictly by email ?

Does everyone who applied receive an invitation to War Eagle Day? My son received one also.

No. My daughter applied and did not receive one but is well within admission standards.

Here is what I found on the Auburn website about admission decisions:

AUBURN

Decision Type Required Materials Received By Decision Released
Early Action September 15, 2021 Mid-October
Early Action October 15, 2021 Mid-November
Early Action December 1, 2021 Mid-Januar

Last year my son received an email about a change in his portal with acceptance, then several weeks later received a packet in the mail.

From what the website for the event says War Eagle days is invite only for “highly qualified applicants”. To me that reads like “applicants we want to accept”. DD got the invite too and is the same waiting cycle as everyone else with the application. Hopefully we will hear in the next week or so.

My son was invited, but unfortunately we can’t attend any of the dates for War Eagle Days but have scheduled a campus visit later in October. For those who can attend, can you please let us know how it goes?

I’m a little bummed that we cannot attend either.

We had a campus visit last Friday and it sounded like EA decisions will start populating on the portal early next week.

Thanks. I wonder if they will accept anyone not invited. My student wasn’t invited but falls well within the general acceptance criteria.

We are out of state so maybe they were trying to appeal to my son to have a visit? We did visit their very quiet campus in the late Spring of 2020, but did a self tour due to COVID closures, so it isn’t in their records that we’ve even been there, other than my son reached out to the admissions counselor for recommendations about places to stay, eat and visit in the area. I wouldn’t read too much into it. They probably only had a limited amount of spaces available for the War Day visit, anyway, so asked specific applicants they are wanting or demographics they want to fill in this class, like out of state, etc. ??? Who knows, sometimes college admissions can be so random! I read the book, Who Gets in and Why, and it’s a GREAT resource if you haven’t read it yet.
