I have just been accepted into the MBA programs at Auburn and Florida State and would like to see what you guys think about the two programs. I am currently leaning towards accepting the offer from Auburn in part due to the mandatory background courses in Calculus. What do you think?

I chose Auburn and just started classes this semester… I really enjoy it so far and my profs are really down to earth and helpful. I consider all of my profs this semester to be really good and they have put a lot of thought into their lectures and the way they bring across new points.

I too just got accepted to Auburn’s MBA program for the fall. I didn’t apply to FSU because I had a friend attend FSU for undergrad and I didn’t find it all the appealing. “Nice” campus, but Tallahassee is kind of a “blah”. North Florida is boring and doesn’t have the same appeal as maybe south Florida would. Auburn had a better program in my eyes, overall. I think essentially though they are on par with one another and will both get you where you want to go in the end. I think SEC schools are better than ACC schools in terms of overall quality. That’s just my personal opinion.

Glad to hear your comparison against ACC schools. I did my undergrad and a few graduate business courses at Texas A&M and have found my grad classes to be equally as challenging and thorough at Auburn. One difference I have found is that the profs seem to be more in tune with the students and respectful at Auburn. Although, that might stem from the culture in the southeast. Another thing that I like about Auburn is that the professors will interject in discussion with supporting articles they have read and introduce their areas of research. This has allowed me to really get a feel for my professors.

Overall, after my first semester at Auburn I’m very happy with my choice and wouldn’t change my decision.
