<p>Do you only sing if your first choice studio is CAP21? Given some other studios also include some MT, not sure if they would still want to hear singing. Thanks!!</p>
<p>I believe that you do not sing unless you are (as you said above) auditioning for CAP21, though it is not unheard of (at other schools) for kids auditioning for straight acting programs to be asked to sing. My D (who auditioned mostly for MT programs but also did audition for a few acting programs) was asked to sing by University of Minnesota/Guthrie.</p>
<p>Agree with NMR.....I believe at Tisch, unless you are auditioning for CAP21, you do not sing at auditions. At some other acting programs, however, they sometimes ask the candidate to sing but usually that is a capella and without an accompanist.</p>
