<p>Russie49: well, those two categories cover just about every song ever written! I'm not even sure if you're male or female, let alone what range is best for you. It's very difficult to recommend a song for someone you don't know. I would suggest that you do some homework and get familiar with the cast albums of some older shows. There are also many music books that have collections of Broadway music. If you do a search of this website you will find specific titles. Also take a look at "Books and other resources for MT students" on the first Musical Theater Major page. You can even check out YouTube -- it's entertaining and a good way to familiarize yourself with new material.</p>
<p>Sorry not to be more specific, but you asked such a broad question that it's impossible to answer. You need to find songs that you are comfortable with, and can deliver convincingly. Good luck -- and when you narrow it down a bit, maybe we can be more helpful.</p>
