<p>I am starting to apply to schools for a BFA in musical theatre, including CMU. Could someone tell me if there are general ACADEMIC requirements for the school as well as for the program?</p>
<p>Also could someone tell me how the Unified auditions work and what schools audtion there?</p>
<p>Admittance into CMU’s drama program is pretty much all based on the audition. Once the drama department has selected you, they send your file to the school’s admissions department for a final review. As long as you have a decent record (high school transcripts, test scores, etc) such that they feel you can handle the rigors of college, you are in. You DO NOT need the type of grades/scores the average freshman being admitted into CMU needs – not even close.</p>
