Hey,
I’ll be auditioning for PPU in Febrary of this year and I’m really excited, but also extrremely nervous. Can someone who has auditioned give me the rundown on how the auditioning process goes @ PPU? I uunderstand that PPU is very competitive and I just want to be more comfortable about going into the audition. Any other information would be appreciated! I pray I make it into the MT program!
Happy New Year!

Hey! Point Park’s audition day starts with filling out forms/verifying information and then a short info session and tour of the campus/facilities. Depending on how many auditioners are at your audition, the group may be split into two groups, which would then audition at two different locations to streamline the process. Each auditioner would then present their material (if the group is large you may be asked to present only one song and one monologue) for a group of faculty members, followed by a dance call. After this, a free lunch is provided while the auditioners wait for the callback list to be posted. Depending on how much time is left in the audition day (usually ends around 4), the callback will probably consist of presenting more material for a more complete group of faculty (including Department Head Jack Allison), so make sure you know all of your pieces well! Hope this helps!

Thanks! That does help a lot, but I’m asking specifically about Unified auditions. Is it basically the same process? Also, I want to know how is the feel and what does the room look like? That sounds like a weird question, but I feel more comfortable when I already know what to expect. I really want to do well so I’m trying to make sure I can perform at my best! Are you a student at PPU?
