<p>I really want to get some classes that were originally closed off to me during Registration... my questions are:</p>
<p>1) Do many classes change from "closed" to "open", or are "closed" classes permanently closed, and only classes with "waitlists" open up on the 14th?</p>
<p>2) Will the effect begin at some random point during the day, classes just start opening up... or is there some designated time in which everyone is dropped from there classes?</p>
<p>People are dropped if they don't pay their tuition by August 16, but the Add/Drop period doesn't start until the Sunday before classes start (the 27th) so you can't register for anything then. </p>
<p>Closed classes aren't permanently closed - some may open up after August 16 and some may open up when people drop them during Add/Drop.</p>
<p>So can you register for classes on the 14th? (If i missed summer orientation)</p>

<p>I don't know where everyone is getting this August 14th date, it has no significance. You can't register if you didn't go to orientation until August 27th.</p>
<p>Razr, aren't you an international student?
If so, isn't there an orientation set just for the internation student?
And if there is one, I am sure you'll register during your designated time.</p>
