August 15th deadline

I paid 1/5th of my registration fee on the 12th but I just realized that the money won't be wired to my checking until the 16th-17th. There is a good chance that the e-check might bounce. What happens if the check bounces and that I can't pay the fee by the 15th? Will my admission be in jeopardy or will all of my classes get dropped? Tried calling but can't get through to someone who can help......

Any advise/insight would be appreciated.

Thank you!

OMG I have the same problem!!! I paid some amount on the 9th… but it hasn’t been wired to my checking!!! It has been 5 DAYS!!!

You won’t have classes cancelled, you won’t be tossed out, you won’t even get a fine for late payment. Missing the 15th by a few days is not an issue.

However, there may be fees for insufficient funds (bounced check). It appears from [e-Bill Terms of Use](http://studentbilling.berkeley.edu/eBillTermsOfUse.htm) that there will be a $25 charge by the university and your bank may impose a charge also. That is the limit of the problem. Relax and enjoy the weekend.

Thank you. Damn, the check bounced today. Despite your assurances, I am still a little concerned :(

Should have planned this better…

So hmm if we still didn’t get our fa by Monday we should call right?

I’ve had a few friends who made it thru finals without paying the fees. You can get away with a lot with late payments here…

Yeah, seriously, missing the date by a few days or a week is not worth a second of worry.

Getting a straight answer and everything paid by finaid, different story. They seem to be so totally overwhelmed by the workload that they are near collapse, thus the huge problems even getting a reply or to speak with someone. They will work their way through it, but it has to be a horror to work there this month.
