Australia University vs US University

My offer was rescinded by my last university. So now I have to make a choice. Should I go to an Australian Univerity or one in the US?

I will be applying to both. Both of their intakes are in July/ August. For instance, comparing The University of Sydney and Boston University for the course of International Relations.

Why was it rescinded?
Are you a US Citizen?
What can you afford?
Do you understand the differences between US and Australian University systems? (e.g., less general education requirements, you have to pick your major up front, more independent study)
Where do you want to end up working? Will they help you get jobs?
Do you want any of the typical American college experience? e.g., Sports, greek life, etc.

Since you have written that you will be applying to both, wait to see if you are accepted by both, and both are affordable. That would be the time to ask which is a better option.

Australian universities typically start in the North American winter/spring (usually March). You may be able to matriculate at Sydney in semester II (July/August), but not all of the intro classes you’d want/need to take may be offered then.

If it comes between aiming for Sydney for next March and waiting another year to start at BU in September 2019, I’d go for Sydney. YMMV.
