Hi all.
Just wondering if there are any Australian students out there wanting to transfer to study in the US starting Autumn (Fall) 2009?
I don't know of anyone AT ALL who is in the same position as me.
If you're from Oceania and doing the same thing - I'd love to hear from you!
:)

Im from australia. Doing HSC in 2008/09.

Looking into Uni in america and canada.

Im from australia, and I got into Columbia as a fresh.
i think the problem with transfering is the fin aid dries up (if thats an issue) more, and the difference in academic year.
what schools are you looking at?

frankechanel: stats and figures to get in?

Yeah, I really should have applied when I was in year 11/12 but I didn't because I briefly investigated the college application process and realised it would have drained all of my study time!
I'm looking at transferring to some of the top schools with ridiculously low admission rates. In order of preference: Middlebury, Amherst, Dartmouth, Yale, Brown, UPenn, Stanford, Cornell.
I'm limited by availability of financial aid, so I'm only applying to places that offer it for international students.
I realise admission stats are horribly low so I'm prepared for eight rejections. I don't want to study in the US unless it's at a better institution than my current university, hence my application to solely tough, competitive schools.
I wish I had a 'safety' but all of these schools are ridiculously competitive!

By the way, frankechanel, congratulation on your admission to Columbia. I have a friend who started there this year from Australia and he is LOVING it!
