Hello! I'm a high school senior in Southlake, TX. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with my application process to OU. I've heard they do automatic admissions for students who reach certain requirements based on GPA, standardized test, etc.
I currently have:

28 ACT

1760 SAT

4.0 GPA weighted

Could i be automatically admitted into OU. And if so, do i still apply normally (write the essays and short answers)?

I'd appreciate your help!!!! Thank you!!!

There was a guaranteed admission policy a couple of years ago [Universities with Guaranteed Admission Policies [Archive] - United States of America Service Academy Forums](Universities with Guaranteed Admission Policies | United States of America Service Academy Forums) but it does not seem to hold any longer.

WOW! I never thought I would see someone on CC talk about anything in Oklahoma. It’s heart warming. :’)

Its University of Oklahoma, not Oklahoma University.

Yeah you meet the requirements you will automatically get in.

Yes you still have to apply normally (duh). The essays are for scholarships only (don’t know believe them when they said they will read your essays for admissions, they LIE!). You don’t HAVE to write them, you could leave them blank, but I would just take the time and do them.

@Erin’sDad It still holds true. They don’t publish it anymore because they are “holistic” now (what a lie). There are three ways to get in. I don’t remember them all in detail, but they still hold true.
