Because I want to be sure I have a backup school if I realize that I want to stay in Texas or find that I’m not accepted into the other colleges I wanted to attend. Also, $60 now isn’t that much in the long run if I’m accepted there and not accepted anywhere else. Again, this is a backup plan.

Basically I want to know if I should spend a few more hours on the essays to make sure they’re “good enough” or just submit now and expect the auto-admission. I have all the other documents (transcript, SAT/ACT) already at A&M.

What is your class rank? With these scores, if you are in top quarter of your class then I believe you are an auto admit and then your essays probably won’t be read. You missed the deadline for scholarships :(
