Automatic Full Tuition / Full Ride Scholarships

The link to NCCU that you have no longer works.

The best scholarship that I can find now on its web site is the Soaring Eagle (3.5 HS GPA and 1900 SAT or 29 ACT; National Merit/Achievement/Hispanic Semifinalist with 1650 SAT also qualifies), which gives a full in-state ride. This amount approximates full out-of-state tuition.

I owe it to this very post for leading me to find a great university which I am currently attending on a large scholarship, and will be able to graduate debt free in 2 more years  (Roll Tide!)

The list does appear to be a bit out of date though; I can go through some states like @OHMomof2 as I have a sister who is a rising junior in HS and am searching for some scholarship opportunities for her.

One I have noticed has changed is Louisiana Tech University is no longer giving a full ride to students with a 32 ACT/1400 SAT. Right now it appears you will get a $9,500 annual scholarship + OOS tuition waiver; which still covers tuition and fees + have some left over for Room/Board/Books/Misc. The requirements for that scholarship has been raised to 33 ACT + 3.75 GPA. They do have some lower requirement scholarships, the lowest of which that still covers tuition is the ‘Outstanding Student’ scholarship which appears to be for $6,500 annual; that one requires 31 ACT + 3.75 GPA

– Updated July 2017 –

Louisiana Tech University

– Updated July 2017 –

Texas State University’s scholarship has not changed, but with rising tuition it only covers tuition up to 15 credit hours/semester, not including fees

==== TEXAS ====

Texas State University
Application Deadline: Not published
Award: Full Tuition up to 15 credits/semester ($8,000/year + OOS tuition waiver)
Requirements: Top 25% Rank or IB Diploma, 32 ACT or 1400 SAT (CR+M)
Assured Scholarships : Financial Aid and Scholarships : Texas State University

University of Alabama-Birmingham
OOS: http://www.uab.edu/students/paying-for-college/scholarships/act-gpa-based-scholarships-out-of-state
IS:http://www.uab.edu/students/paying-for-college/scholarships/act-gpa-based-scholarships-alabama-residents

Seems to me the highest OOS award is $15K and OOS tuition is $23k so they no longer offer full tuition, not instate either.

**So should be removed from this list. **
