I know LSU has a scholarship that awards full tuition for a 30 ACT and 3.0 GPA. Are there any other universities which give automatic full/half tuition scholarships based on ACT/GPA, etc?

For National Merit Finalists:

Yes, there are many.

however, are you a junior or senior in high school? Many scholarship deadlines have passed for seniors.

If you’re a junior, you’ll still have time for anything you’re qualified for.

:)

*
I have a 3.5 GPA, 25 ACT

I would prefer the school to cost no more than 30,000 annually, for tuition and board. Additional fees are fine.

Are those still your stats? Are you a senior?

Is your family still willing to pay $30k plus fees?

If so, you do have some choices.

keep in mind that the below COAs (cost of attendances) include “personal expenses and transportation”.

COA = room, board, books, fees, transportation and personal expenses.

COA per year for OOS students , State University
$25,787, U MINNESOTA
$30,000, IOWA ST
$31,000, U ALABAMA (this can be about $2000 lower if shared room housing is ok)
$33,000, AUBURN
$31,872, VIRGINIA TECH
$34,812, U IOWA
$33,000, U SOUTH CAROLINA
$32,752, U PITTSBURGH

sorry for the late response, but I was hoping respondents would address this topic and not any of my previous topics. I was hoping there would be some late deadline, automatic scholarships i could shoot for if I took the ACT next month.

You have to understand that when you don’t post enough info, we sometimes will look at previous posts to figure out what the situation is. Your original post is so vague, we needed specifics. What good does it do if we tell you about a great automatic scholarship if it needs an ACT 34?

Now you’re saying that you want to take the ACT next month in hopes of raising your score for merit $$. you should have said that in your first post, so we’d know that suggestions would need to include schools that would accept Feb scores for scholarship consideration. We need to know that. :)

Maybe Mississippi St will take that late of ACT scores for scholarship consideration. I can’t think of any others.

What is your budget now? How much can your parents pay towards your schooling?

Maybe from new current info, we can make some suggestions for you.

Arizona State probably takes that late of consideration (but, they’ve already at this point started handing out money, so they may not have anything left in the pot), but unless you’re a NMF I dunno that they give all that much.

Arizona State is still taking scholarships applications, but I know that this year AzSt has reduced its scholarships.
