Automatic Rejection? Questions...

Hey,

So I didnt get into UCD with decent stats, does that mean I have no chance getting into UCLA now..?

Im kinda bummed out ..

Thxs

Don't feel completely defeated yet. I got rejected by UC Santa Cruz but got into Davis, Berkeley and UCLA.

i knew someone who got rejected to UCI but going into UCB and LA

what were there stats?

they may not know, but in any case, knowing that person's stats isn't going to change where you get in or not.

my advice is to stop stressing and realize that the college admissions process is more a lottery than anything else.

I know pleny of people who were turned down from irvine, davis, sb, but ended up getting into Cal or UCLA. Remember that the UCs admit mainly regional applicants. They are public schools, after all...so it only makes sense that they'd shluff people off onto the other campuses in the system to make room for more qualified regional residents. don't sweat it.

plus, you've only got a couple weeks left....wont be long now, and you can throw all this angst to the wind!!

There is very little communication between the individual UC campuses. Whether they accept someone is solely based on their comprehensive review, and not because they want to make room for X group of people.

thats bs hahaha.....

i for one know that theres communication between them (friends work for uc)

I got rejected by UCI and got accepted to UCLA...so dont lose hope :)

Well I mean in the decisions process.

Although they may not communicate, they may look at where else you applied to (when they print out the application, it's the full UC app down to your major at each UC you chose, I have personally glanced at it) and then decide from there.
