Automatically sent bad ACT and AP scores.

Before I take ACT and AP Scores, I decided to send them scores to the college I want to go because it was free. However, I got the test results and they are really bad.

Do I have no chance for the college I sent my scores? If I cancel the scores, would they still have my records?

AP scores carry little to no weight in college admissions, and the worst case you get is no credit or retake the course.

Bump.

The AP scores really don’t matter; they’re not a huge factor in admissions. For the ACT score, as long as you have a higher score on the ACT or SAT sent already, the collfege will likely disregard this one.

The thing that matters isn’t sending the bad ACT score, but having a bad ACT score in the first place. Get a better score next time you take the test and colleges won’t care.

I got 1s… seriosuly bad scores.

Do colleges look my scores that I sent them before the tests when considering me for admission? I sent 1s and bad act score. If delete the scores, are they still gonna see the bad scores? Do I have give up on that college?

There is no reason to send AP scores for college application unless it is required. You only need to send them to the school you matriculated. For senior year, use the free AP score report for potentially matriculating schools.

If the scores have already been sent the schools have seen them. They will not consider AP scores. They WILL consider the ACT score. If you want to “erase” that you’ll need to send an updated score - either ACT or SAT.

The AP scores of 1 will hurt because it will cast doubt on your grades in those AP classes if they are good. That being said, I’m pretty sure that admissions will never see the scores because they are sent to the registrars office and not the office of admissions. This is because students are expected to self-report AP scores and then if they matriculate they request official scores to be sent and they are sent to the registrar’s office for purposes of placement. Canceling them now will do nothing, btw. Good luck!

^ It may well be the case for most schools, but some schools may have a common database.

So the office of admissions did not see my AP Score, right? only the registrars office?
