Automotive Engineering

To get into Automotive engineering, would it be safe to do MechE or ChemE?

My school doesn't offer Auto Engineering, so what should I major in?

sounds like mech e to me

Depends on what aspect of automotive engineering you are interested in, since mechanical (numerous mechanical parts from engines, transmissions, wheels, suspension, doors, switches, etc.), electrical (electrical parts and controls, electric and electric hybrid drive systems), computer (the embedded computers in cars these days), chemical (fluids and fuels), materials (the materials the car is made of), and industrial or manufacturing (manufacturing and supply chain managment) engineering could all be applicable.
