Just curious, does anyone know the average/middle 50th percentile ACT for LSA? The 31-34 range they list online includes all of the colleges at UMich. For example, on the college of engineering website, they list their median ACT score as 33. Thanks!
I think they told us it was something like a 31 or 32 at my freshman orientation two years ago but I’ve heard of people having as low as a 27 or 28 (and I’m sure there are even lower). It’s not the end all be all of you acceptance (there are some people with 27s who get in and flourish at Michigan and some people who get 33s and don’t get accepted at all) so I’d say it likely varies from year to year depending on the overall strengths and weaknesses of the current class. However if I had to guess I would say it probably holds steady between 30-33 every year.
31 is the median, while 31-34 was the middle 50%
If you’re in-state and first generation, they’ll be more forgiving about ACT if your gpa is strong.
For out-of-state, you need the highest scores possible. Competition is stiff.

As the overall admission stat also include Stamp, nursing, and music school that tend to have slightly lower stat, t is kind of even out with the CoE. So the overall stat is very similar to LSA alone. The median is around 32.
The lsa median is 31 and probably 33 for engineering
