So, I'm just starting my college search. I'm more of a LAC type of kid, but I really like the trimester/quarter system at Stanford. The only thing that bothers me about big research universities are class sizes.

What are the average class sizes for the intro sciences?
Does Stanford offer the same professor-student relationships as an LAC would?
How difficult is it to obtain some help if I would have trouble with a class?

Thank you in advance!

What are the average class sizes for the intro sciences?
-Around 75 to 300 or so. CS106A has 600, but that’s an aberration. Remember that for most you will also have sections (around 10-15 people).

Does Stanford offer the same professor-student relationships as an LAC would?
-Don’t know.

How difficult is it to obtain some help if I would have trouble with a class?
-Really easy. There are office hours, TAs, residential tutors, professors, other students, and more who are willing to help (for free). There is little excuse to do poorly in a class at Stanford.
