Average courseload at UM

Hello everyone.
I was recently accepted as a transfer student. When I was looking at the lsa course guide, it seemed to me that most of the courses are four credits. If this is the case, does that mean that most students take four classes a semester? At my current school, most classes are three credits, so we typically take 5 a semester.

Normal courseload is 14-16 credits, I would say.

12-18 is the acceptable range for full-time students without paying extra.

It depends on major and class availabilities. But for graduation requirement, the average would be ~16 credits per semester unless you have AP/transferred credit.
