I know my SATs hurt me. Ill be taking them in October and hoping to get at least 1950.

What Are My Chances At: Villanova, Fairfield, Providence, Lehigh, Holy Cross, Bucknell, Bowdoin, Bates, Colby, Hamilton, University of Richmond, Bentley and sigh, Wesleyan.

Intended Major: Finance or Econ
I'd really like to hear some suggestions as well. Small Schools with good business/econ dept., tight knit community feel, less emphasis on SAT's...

Appreciate any input.

you have some preppy/conservative schools....and then wesleyan.

^^^ wow your very nice to respond his/her chances. I hate these off the subject jerks.

Anyways, I think youre in at all the schools except LeHigh and Bucknell are matches-low reaches.

sry ..i have no idea, but i just wanted to say how nice it is to see someone asking for chances other than HYPSM and other top 20 schools :)

hahhaha chancesplease, what a witty comment, but i guess thats what we expect for a 16 year old

I'm assuming you're female which makes for a very difficult run for Wesleyan due to its lopsided applicant ratio (mediocre guys definitely have a better shot than mediocre women.) I would say the same is true to a more or lesser extent for Bates, Bowdoin and Colby . If one of your varsity sports is basketball however, I would try to make that your hook.

I think you have decent chances for Villanova and Providence. Fifty/fifty at all the others.

im a male and my varsity sports are ice hockey and lacrosse. thanks for the many responses though guys.

Lacrosse?! Bill Belichick's old sport? You should definitely get in touch with a coach to get a realistic view of ur chances. seriously. :)

I doubt I have any shot at getting recruited at any of the schools on my list.

Really? Even Division III?

Holy Cross and Bowdoin are SAT optional.

i figured D3 did not recruit athletes johnwesley.

Nope they do, but you have to contact the coach.

I got recruited by Vassar for lacrosse but I lost interest there.

Thasswatimtawkinabout. Really Bananaphone, what I'm detecting here is a certain lack of self-confidence. Don't let that come across in your essays. If it sounds like I'm being critical, it's because I had the same problem when I was your age. Also, I have a certain self-interest in that Wesleyan can use all the jocks it can get. :p
