Does anyone has any statistics for average GPAs for science, humanities, social sciences majors for UW-Madison undergraduate students when they graudate?

Madison's graudate schools are top-ranked. But how about the undergraduate portion?

It looks like the average GPA is fairly low for general engineering (2.742) and general courses for BA, BS in letters and science (2.977 and 2.948) for the freshmen year. Even for sophomores, juniors and seniors, the numbers do not show much improvement.

Does Madison has grade deflation or it is just because the students are lazy (#1 party school)?

keep in mind that number of kids is a huge misleading statistic... wisconsin has way more kids than most schools... that statistic is basically useless

Most decent schools have a similar grade pattern.
There are many schools similar in size to UW--most major state schools so the fact that they rank highly in PhD's and CEO's means that it is one of the elite state schools and that you can achieve anything that a Harvard grad can.
