average GPA, no EC

I am a freshman college student studying in a community college here in California. I am going to major in computer science. Well, what if I only have about 3.2 GPA, and no extracurriculars. Is their even a possibility that I could transfer to any of the state universities?

Thanks, in advance.

yes..u can def transfer to state schools and maybe some lower UCs...why not...

the OP has a chance at all UCs.

Chances at all UC's...provided you're heading into a junior transfer, where you have more time to increase your GPA/increase EC's.

are yo usure berkeley would accept someone with a 3.2 and no extracurriculars....maybe if the op is applying to the natural sciences or which ever department it was that accepts over 50%

what is EC and op? do i need EC and op for art history major? also what are ur opinions on transferring in one year instead of two?

lol what???????

ur so lost

ec=extracurricular (activities)
op=original poster

are you guys serious?
I actually have a chance to even transfer to UC?
OMG! USC is included, right? hhahahah..kidding.

Let me make this clear. 3.2 GPA, no EC at the end of sophomore, meaning the time when I am about to transfer.

Ofcourse, I will try to get some EC's, but I was just wondering what if I don't have any. What do you mean all UC's? Why do you guys say that? Is it because of my major?

Oh, if it's at the end of your sophomore year, then you realistically have a chance at UC's minus UCLA and UCB.

lol awwww how cute u thought ur stats are hopeless...

naw fool you hella have a shot at the UCs...try an agreement if its not too late..

man, you really haven't put much thought into transferring huh?

so, how much difference is there between ucla/ucb and other uc's in terms of difficulty of getting in? is transferring somewhat a simiar process with freshmen transferring? i mean, when ur applying for freshmen year, ucla/ucb is way too competitive while the other uc's are easy to get into as long as ur not a total blockhead.

Oh, Because I really thought I need to be a super kid in order to get into UC's. See, reading all those chances threads made me think I am a loser.

Glad to know, I do have a bit of chance even with my below average stat.
Thanks guys!

yeah sometimes reading this site is really discouraging with everyone with thier stats

tell me about it jason....

i feel like crap after getting offa cc

haha sometimes i think i should be spending my time studying rather than comparing stats :(

i always feel that way jason...

wow there are normal people here too...

whenever I get off this site, my morale and self-esteem gets lower and lower...
