Hi,

I've come across two figures of high school GPAs of the 07-08 incoming freshman at UCLA. However, they are not the same, and I was wondering what made up for the big difference.

In here:
http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/undergrad_adm/selecting/camp_profiles/camp_profiles_ucla.html
it says this:
Average high school GPA: 4.14

However, in here:
http://www.newsroom.ucla.edu/page.asp?RelNum=7826
it says this:
"Academic characteristics for admitted freshmen remained strong. Admitted students had an overall grade-point average including honors and advanced placement courses of 4.30, compared with 4.26 last year."

Why are the two GPAs, 4.14 and 4.26, so far apart?
Thanks.
