anyone know, or estimate, the average gpa of people who got into harvard in the past years?

Although these numbers are not available on the USNews site (average GPA are incredibly difficult since it is unknown if a reported GPA is weighted or unweighted...and what GPA to use when the school us a decile, e.g. 94%, GPA, or when a school has a weird GPA like my D's which reports the GPA out of 5.0, not 4.0). However, the site does report that 96% of the entering freshman class ranked in the top 10% of their class in high school.

Princeton published a 3.83 UW average. Penn's was similar. Keep in mind that the average is generally not enough for unhooked applicants; I would think the median is likely a 3.9 UW and the 75th percentile a 4.0

you really cant take any of those too seriously because it depends so much on the difficulty of your high school

Unless you go to a supercompetitive or super uncompetitive high school I believe that those statistics hold some validity.

yea i guess so

so for princeotn, would htat gpa include only 10 and 11?
