I am looking to apply to masters in ee to several top tier schools. I go to berkeley- but dont have the highest gpa. Do schools factor in where you went to school in even if gpa is low?

My main question- what is/are average gpa of students admitted in in MS in EE programs in all the top schools?

^ Can you go to Berkley as a graduate student? It is one of the best graduate school in engineering in the nation. Unless they have a policy that they don't admit their own student? Most graduate school looks for 3.50+ GPA

This is the minimum competitive GPA schools list but if your school is notorious for being hard then the committee will know it. Anything higher is icing on the cake really. I had a 3.8 and go to a top 10 but I doubt I wouldn't have gotten in with a 3.7 or 3.6.

Anything above 3.5 will be good enough to apply to any great school. Depending on other factors, you might or might not get in. they just say 3.0 is the minimum required to apply.

^ yea, but the truth is, 3.0 never gets you in. You'll be on the waiting list forever or rejected off the bat unless you got that 3.0 from a very very well known engineering school.
