average grades, high reach schools? HELP

Hi! I’m a rising junior and I really have to start thinking about college. My top choice is Colgate University and here are my stats:

GPA: 93/100 unweighted (both freshman and sophomore year)
*nervous because by the end of high school I would have taken 4 regular classes
APs: AP World (sophomore year), will be taking: APUSH, AP English, AP Lit, AP Bio, AP Gov, AP Stats and self studying AP Macro by the end of high school
ACT: aiming for 32-33 (hopefully)
Ethnicity: Asian
Recommendation: I can get pretty good ones
EC:
-secretary of Red Cross for 2 years (10th & 11th)
-Vice President of Red Cross (12th)
-Secretary of DECA (11th)
*qualified to states
-Key Club
-National English Honor Society
-National Math Honor Society
-National Science Honor Society
-National Global Honor Society
-National Business Honor Society

Achievements (not that impressive):
Published poem
Semi-finalist in Stonybrook Japan Writing Contest

Do I even have a chance at Colgate University?
Thanks!

Forgot to mention that I’ll be applying ED

Hey Airfire! I am a currently enrolled student at Colgate University.

Here is some info that might be helpful to you. This is Colgate’s admission’s information for the Class of 2018 http://www.colgate.edu/admission-financial-aid/class-of-2018-profile

Dont let the high GPA discourage you. I was .13 points below my class’s average GPA at 3.64, but with strong test scores and EC’s, I made it in regular decision.

I say you have a pretty strong chance (especially ED). Colgate’s incoming classes get stronger every year, and the average GPA is obviously very high. However, I believe these test scores are very achievable for you. I would encourage you to excel on your tests and continue to perform well in school. You’re certainly a competitve applicant, but college admissions are always pretty random. Dont stress too much and do your best!

@Punumscott Ahh this is great haha I have a lot of questions (if you don’t mind).

  1. Do you think having those 4 regular classes will affect my chances of getting accepted? That’s my biggest concern
  2. Is it true that everyone at Colgate is like the preppy, athletic type?
  3. How do you like the campus life?
  4. How is the work load/exams? I hope to major in economics!
