Average hours per week put in--Harvard Extension School Courses

Hello all, I am arranging my schedule and curious. Those who have taken Harvard Extension courses, on average how many hours per week were put in per course?
I really do understand that everyone varies, but looking for an average so I don’t over extend myself with family obligations.

Thank you for any advice, tips or experiences.

The student population of more than 13,000 women and men is diverse. They all share a goal of engaging themselves in thought-provoking pursuits.

In class, you might encounter a lawyer studying creative writing, a teacher broadening her knowledge of technology, a parent pursuing graduate studies part time, or a traditional college student working toward a degree.

The age of our students ranges from the teens to the 80s, with the average of 33 years. Most students already have degrees, and all bring abundant life experience to the classroom.

As the average age of an extension student is 33, I imagine many students have full-time jobs and families to support, so my guess would be that most students take 1-2 courses and manage to do the work in however many hours it takes.

FWIW: In the five years that I’ve been on College Confidential, I haven’t encountered one poster from HES, so I’m not sure you’re going to get an answer on this forum. I would suggest calling an HES advisor and asking them the question.
