Everyone on CC tats applying to top universities has a really high unweighed gpa like 3.8 to 4.0. Can an average person like me with about a 3.4 unweighed gpa get in top colleges if i have good sat scores and lots of EC's?

Realistically, it's highly unlikely that you'll get into one of the very top colleges (HYPS, the rest of the Ivies, MIT, CIT, WashU, etc.). On the other hand, there are large numbers of very good colleges that would be happy to admit you. What are your SAT scores and your ECs? Maybe some of us can suggest some good colleges you can apply to.

depends on the school, my school , hotchkiss sends a small number of 3.0s to HYPS and a good number of them to the lower ivies and wash u

well i didnt take the SATs yet but here are my ECs

ECs
International club
Rotary Interact club
FBLA Vice President
SGA Representative
Varsity Lacrosse
American Red Cross club
Varsity Poms
Varsity Outdoor Track

I have about 400 service hours (got an award for that)

volunteered at Hosipital
participate at Teen Court
volunteered at historical society
Law internship over the summer

Anyone know wat schools would be good for me with a gpa of 3.4 and theses ecs?

You're not that average, given your ECs...

thanks but my gpa is kinda low

so can any one suggest some good colleges?

Unfortunately, it's very difficult to suggest colleges if you can't give us your GPA, ECs, and SAT scores. However, we could hazard a few rough suggestions if you can give us your PSAT scores, or ACT scores if you took that test. If you can't give us any standardized test scores, then come back when you can. Lots of people would be happy to give you suggestions when you provide all the data.

okay thanks
