Average PSAT increase from 10th grade to 11 grade?

<p>My son, who is a sophomore, just got his PSAT scores back. I know that's there's all sorts of anecdodal evidence of students doing better, staying about the same and even doing worse, but I'm wondering what is the average increase in scores from 10th grade to 11th grade?</p>

<p>It really depends on how much he works. Would telling you the avg. really matter? I know someone who went down from a 222 to a 215. Then again, one of my friends went from a 201 to a 231. If he practices, he should be able to raise his score.</p>

<p>Thanks, my guess is you're right or someone else would have posted the info by now. It shouldn't be that hard for them to put the data together and put the numbers out there. I wonder why they wouldn't do that.</p>

<p>CB does post this info -- but the average increase on the PSAT is about 10 points (equivalent to 100 SAT points) per year.</p>
