Anyone know what the average sat 2 scores were for us history and math iic were for columbia students??

I don't think they do have one.
But 750+ in each SAT II is good.

I would assume the average US History score is absurdly high. The only people who are going to submit USHist scores are people whose best subject is USHist. Most admits probably have a very high score on their 3rd (non writing/math) SAT2 since you get to pick your poison.

Math 2C isn't released.

my USH score was horrific.
660.

i'm never getting into college... [end melodrama]

Don't get all bent out of shape. My son's USH score was 670, along with a 760 in writing and 780 in spanish......and he's a freshman now.

Son, sophomore, SAT 2s:

USH--640
Math 2C--640
Math 1C--720
Writing--760

Don't get too hung up by a couple "low" scores. :)

I wonder COLUMBIAMOM's identity
She is enthusiatic in posting replies!!
Thanks for your helps.

Haha vboy. I'm just the mother of a lowly Columbia College freshman who still remembers all of the agonizing questions my son and I had prior to the application process. I'd also like to say that I don't believe there is any formula as to how the adcoms make their choices. As long as your "numbers" fall into the range for Columbia, they will not be the focus of your application. Your essay and a couple of EC's that you show dedication to will be the most important factors. I think that your dedication to your EC's show the adcoms what you may have to contribute to the Columbia community. I also think it would be helpful, if you don't feel as tho you can convey everything you want to on the application, to send in a short supplement further emphasizing what you have to offer to Columbia and why it's the right place for you. They can either choose to read it or not. I wish you all the best and I'll try to help whenever I can.

From another mother of a lowly CC frosh-hos SAT2 scores were: writing: 720, World History 710, Math 2C: 610 (he didn't take US Hx SAT 2), and he was accepted ED.

^and suddenly, hope is restored!

ahh the college application process... such games it plays with young minds...

I should add that the soph son I described above was accepted ED. I really dont' think that SAT 2s are that important to them.
