Does anyone know the average SAT, ACT, and GPA for Roosevelt MT majors?
@singingvocalist They do not publish their average scores just for MT majors. Scores at Roosevelt are not high. Average GPA 3.1, Average SAT score 1000, Average ACT score 23
The school is not known as an academic hothouse, but it is very competitive on the artistic side It’s an interesting blend. Roosevelt University was created specifically to address the quota systems of the time, in which universities systematically excluded African-Americans and Jews. It exists to serve students who are less privileged and in some cases less prepared for the rigors of college. This is not to knock the program; it’s just their mission to lift people up.
CCPA, which houses the acting, dance, voice and MT programs, has a separate history and personality. It is one of the older US conservatories, founded in the 1860s. It merged with Roosevelt in 1954. It has enjoyed an excellent reputation for many years. Its classical voice program is really outstanding.
