Average Test Scores...Will SAT 2's help out my application?

My ACT score is 26 and my SAT score is 1620. I know, they're pretty low. I plan on retaking the ACT (and I'm studying a lot for it!) and MAYBE the SAT in October. I'm wondering if I should take some SAT 2's to make my app look better? Should I even worry about taking some or just skip them? My best subjects are French and Spanish and I bet I could get around the high 700s with Spanish and high 600s with French. BUT, I hear that if you take SAT 2's, you should probably take Math, Lit, or History.

Should I even bother taking the SAT 2's?

Crap, I also see that the French and Spanish w/ listening are in November, and I’m applying ED to a school. Will they get the results of my scores before they decide to admit me or reject me?

There are some schools that require you to take the SAT IIs, especially if you submit your SAT I score. So yes, you should take a few.

If SAT2s are required then take them (and they may help). Otherwise they may not make a difference.

There are not many schools in your range that require them. I’d focus on bringing up the reasoning test or trying the ACT.

So I should just skip the SAT 2’s and focus on regular ACT and SAT?

I just wasn’t sure, because I know I could do good in French and Spanish.

maan we have about the same scores! and im soo worried lol i really want to go to USC : [ but i dont know if id get in. everythings great except my sat/act scores (like e.c. and gpa). i got a 1790 combined sat score and 23 on act the first time lol which is horrible. i know. good luck! im retaking them again too and just got more books today yaay
