Average time for interview requests?

I applied to a few universities, late by maybe 3-4 minutes.
Well, i’m on the west coast and they’re on the east coast, but anyhow Common App said that the “later” deadline was the acceptable one.

So… I got interview emails from alumni like 1-2 days ago from two that weren’t late.

So… does this mean for my late apps that I’ve been screwed already and tossed in the bad pile? Or whatever happens. I mean.

Pure coincidence. I guarantee it 100%. That’s not how interviews are assigned whatsoever.

Of the 6 interview offering colleges I’ve applied to, only 2 have extended requests, and those were just invitations to register for an optional interview on their website.
