Average wait for decision?

Congrats jamesjunkers! Nothing changed in S’s portal, think I might be calling again tomorrow.

Congrats James!

Is TU your first choice?

Thanks everyone
@niqniq935, no. I applied ed to Cornell. But Temple was my first acceptance, so Yay!

Good luck with teh Cornell app!! and yeah on the first accept :)

@ctl987, thank you so much!!
By the way, when do applicants have to make a decision by for Temple?

May 1 i think?? it is best to have housing desposit in by 3-15 though and you have to put in school deposit before you can make housing deposit. im pretty sure you got into honors so i would also suggest you live in the honors living learning community your first year. This is on the 3rd floor of teh dorm 1300 and you will be surrounded by others honors students on your wing and your floor. this helps to create a smaller group withiin a large campus, you get to know your wing mates really well, and you have people in your honors classes living near you. all of teh above is really great for connections and in helping you adjust to not only college, but a huge college where it can be hard to meet people otherwise.

Good luck to you on the Cornell App!

And yep, May 1st is Decision Day.
Room Sync, the application that helps Temple students find roommates, opens up for Fall 2015 freshman in February.
Housing selection starts Saturday, March 7th.

thanks, i was a little bit off on the housing date then, good to know!

Yea just accepted…13 days lol.

and the class of 19 is starting to shape up :smile:

D got the big envelope last week with Pres scholarship and Honors acceptance. Very exciting!

@OHMomof2‌

Was the timeline between acceptance and envelope about 10 days?
I know you said she applied on the 19th and got accepted about the 29th.
I’m really anxious waiting for my packet.

@OHMomof2, how long after the initial acceptance via portal was that?
Oops, just realized @niqniq935 just asked :slight_smile:

I called Admissions the other day and found out that there is a back up at the third party which sends out acceptance letters. I was told they are catching up though. I have been waiting 3 weeks so far after being accepted by email for a letter and was told to call again in a week if I have not yet received anything.

@‌intothesun12

That sucks! :frowning:

@intothesun12‌ Question though, are you in a close state like Jersey? Because some people in close states have received theirs. Maybe it’s only a backup for states further away.

I would be ecstatic if I got my letter this week :slight_smile:

@jamesjunkers‌ Me too. If it wasn’t so cold, I would just sit on the steps waiting for the mail person.

About a week from seeing it online and getting big envelope.

hang in there y’all!!! how frustrating about the third party delay :confused: ithink ohmom’s kid may have lucked out and gotten teh letter before the delay began. my guess is ur state of residence is not the key factor, rather the date of acceptance is teh controlling date from when the letters are sent.
