avg classes per yr for UCs

According to the stats on how many classes the avg incoming student at top tier UCs took in high school, it seems to be 6 "a-g" courses per year.

<a href="http://www.ucop.edu/news/factsheets/2007/freshman_admit_profile_2007.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://www.ucop.edu/news/factsheets/2007/freshman_admit_profile_2007.pdf</a></p>

I have taken 6 academics for each of my fresh, soph, and junior year. As for my senior year, i had planned on taking 4 academics + ASB leadership (which is not part of "a-g"). Thus, in order to fulfill at least 5 academics courses, i would need to take a chinese 5 AP 7th period-unheard of for a senior at my school. how important is it to fulfill that avg number of classes that most people entering UCLA, Berk and SD have? Considering my SAT and GPA are not extremely competitive for UCLA and Berk?

You should be fine in this case -- as long as you fulfill the requirements, it'll be fine. But remember that rigor of course load, GPA, and essays are the most important for the top UCs (at least for Berkeley).

fine in the case of not taking chinese 5? I'm also debating whether to retake my math iic, or try taking history sat ii. considering its hard to in the high percentile for math, and it would take A LOT of time to review apush all over again.
