<p>It depends if you are good at it. </p>
<p>I think the average in McCormick is something around a high 2. So maybe a 2.9. For Chem E you can expect it to be about 2.7. </p>
<p>And yes, its very hard to get As in engineering courses.</p>
<p>Majman, are you a freshman/sophomore? The curves tend to be tough for lower-level classes. Then it gets a lot easier to get good grades (even the materials get harder).</p>

<p>The Engineering First EDC projects are done in groups. </p>
<p>NU seems to emphasize collaborative work more than many other schools. There are tons of collaborative work among faculty of different schools. Their collaborative effort created programs like MMSS or ISP back in the 1970s and these programs still remain unique today. Engineering First is another product of the joint effort from faculty of various engineering departments. Kellogg was the one that pioneered the emphasis of teamwork in the MBA curriculum (other schools became copycats). It's part of the overall school culture.</p>
