Dear all members,

I am a graduating senior at a public university and was wondering what my chances are in getting into a management consulting firm.

I have 3.46 GPA with three majors; management, chemistry, and psychology. I am interested in a career in management consulting for pharmaceutical sector. I also had summer internships at Deloitte, KPMG, and RBS (before it crumbled) before I served in ROK Navy for 2 years (mandatory service, ugh). Anyway, it would be great if I could have some inputs from anyone in, or has knowledge about, the consulting industry. Here are my questions;

1) I've heard most people mention how most consulting firms do not even consider a candidate who has a GPA below 3.5~3.6. Would having multiple majors help me go over that barrier?

2) I took GMAT (740, v:40 q:50) 3 years ago because my friends and I had a little bet going on to see who gets the highest score while I was waiting for my assignment in the Navy (I had nothing to do, so why not). I would not mind including the score on resume if that will complement my low GPA but I do not want the firm to think that I will leave only after few years for MBA (I am not considering it for another 5 or 6 years). Do you think it is a good idea to include the score?

3) What do you think my chance of landing an interview with a second-tier consulting firm (other than the big 3) when they do not even recruit on my campus?

Thank you in advance for all the feedbacks.
