I picked scholars over honors because I think on such a huge campus it may help to dorm with other poli sci/pre-law types. But I’ve read about some huge classes at Ohio State. I can apply to the Honors program after my first semester. Will this help? How do you tell which classes are huge? I want to avoid those at all costs.
I don’t know if they’re possible to avoid, especially if one is not in Honors. I would advise you to sit up front in the lecture hall and use your TA and professor as much as possible as a resource. Just don’t sit in the back! You’ll inevitably have to look at everyone’s computer games/ESPN screens. It is NOT pleasant.
Asking how to avoid huge classes at OSU is like asking how to avoid swallowing water when you’re learning how to surf.
@adjunctified, yeah, that’s what I was afraid of. I can apply for Honors second semester, maybe should’ve gone with honors instead of scholars. Sit in front…good advice. So…most of the classes are huge? Many or most?
