This time between now and March 10th is perhaps the most nerve racking of the entire application process. What troubles me most is the lack of uniformity among the schools ways of decision notification. I know for a fact that last year Exeter emailed their decisions Saturday, March 9th, 2013 around 10 A.M. I also know that Andover sent FedEx acceptance letters which arrived around noon on Saturday, March 9th, 2013. Denials and wait lists were received days later via snail mail. I wish that all decisions would arrive on March 10th as promised, however, if history is any indicator, that is not the case.
Since I am on the west coast and have not received an email from Exeter nor any Fedex from Andover or Deerfield, I have a feeling that acceptances will be received tomorrow, Sunday, March 9th. I hope this is the case, however, it is possible that they are being strict this year and not allowing decision receipt prior to March 10th.
Could anyone offer their perspective on when those that are accepted should be receiving their FedEx packages from Andover and Deerfield? Also, make note if you have already received a decision.
Many thanks, and good luck!

@needtoboard I am applying to Andover, Exeter, Deerfield, and St. Paul’s. I know Andover has an online portal available March 10th 5:00 PM EST, Exeter will email March 10th, and St. Paul’s has an online portal available March 10th 3:00 PM EST. However, I have not heard from Deerfield regarding an online decision. I did not realize that online decision meant no FedEx, is this true? I thought it was a backup instead of formal decision. Please let me know.

@stargirl3 Does that mean that there will be no mail between now and March 10th? Are the online decisions the only way people will find out? In other words, online decisions are replacing FedEx admission notifications?

@mrnephew Indeed, it seems these boarding schools make it such that we “can’t stop thinking about BS.” Truly, however, I detect no pun intended. :)
