???Award Letter = Acceptance Letter???

I finished getting in my stuff into the admissions office at the university I applied. The head of admissions has been working with me, but she was out when I brought in my transcript and scores. I emailed her to make sure everything was doing well and she sent this back...

"I received your transcript and ACT scores, I will get you an award letter by the end of the week."

I know an award letter has the tuition, scholarships, etc. Pretty much all the financial worries, but does this mean that I've been accepted into this university? I called my mom -who is out of state- and told her that I was accepted, but I reread the email and it caught me off guard.

Due to different deadlines needed by colleges, awards and admissions can have different dates. So, no, you may not have been admitted. You must ask the college. You can contact anyone in the admissions office.
