On the UC application where it says to list your awards/honors, what kind of things are you supposed to say? The only things I can think of for me are CSF, Honor Roll, and Who's Who (the thing that only every living high school students gets).

Also, where you are supposed to list activities and clubs, how are we supposed to describe them? Is it a general overview of the club or my specific involvement in it?

Whatever you do, DON'T list Who's Who as an award. It's not a distinguished award and is rather bought than actually achieved.

You list your activities/clubs in the Extracurricular/Volunteer/other boxes. Be straightforward in your descriptions. List any given positions. Also when you title them, don't title them what they are like "Hop Hop Club." Title your activities like "Dance Club" or "Hospital Volunteer."

I think colleges are looking for awards that show the significance of your ECs. FOr example if playing piano is an EC, the colleges would view it differently depending on whether you have won national competitions or not. THings like honor role, NMSF, AP scholar, are pretty common awards so I don't think colleges really care about that, but it's still better than having nothing.

Who's who isn't bought - its free. However, its still a scam trying to get unsuspecting parents/relatives to buy tons of useless stuff (no offense to anyone).
